Four distinct styles - all united by a zero-compromise approach to design, placement, and execution.
Marcus has been tattooing for 12 years, spending the first half in Philadelphia before returning to central PA to open Blackline. His work centers on precision: single-needle botanical illustrations, fine geometric line art, and detailed portrait work in pure black ink. He's known for a consultation process that's unhurried - some clients work with him for months before ink touches skin.
Marcus takes a limited number of large-scale projects per month. His waiting list typically runs 8–12 weeks for full sleeves.
Jade's style sits at the intersection of old-school bold outlines and modern illustrative depth. Every piece is built on a strong silhouette first - then layered with textured fills, dimensional shading, and decorative details that make her work immediately recognizable. Her subjects often include animals, dark folklore, florals with an edge, and pop culture icons rendered in classic form.
She's fully booked Saturdays through the fall. Weekday slots are available with shorter waits.
Eli's tattoos look like they came straight from a sketchbook - intentionally. Loose line variation, expressive hatching, and unfinished-edge aesthetics give his work a raw, hand-drawn quality that ages unlike any other style. He gravitates toward narrative scenes, mythological subjects, horror characters, and complex illustrative compositions that span large body areas.
Eli is also Blackline's primary artist for walk-in slots on Saturdays (first-come, first-served after 12pm).
Nadia studied traditional Japanese tattooing under a mentor in Osaka before joining Blackline in 2020. Her work is deeply rooted in irezumi composition - understanding how motifs breathe with the body, how wind bars guide the eye, and how a full back piece tells a story with every element in correct relation. She works exclusively in black and grey, which she believes pushes traditional Japanese iconography into its most powerful form.
Nadia only accepts full project bookings (no single-session pieces). Consultations are required before any booking is confirmed.
